Ministry Re-imagined
2020
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have had to re-imagine how we deliver services to the youth we serve in juvenile correction facilities. It has been challenging, and we feel God has led our decisions to present the following events beginning in November, 2020.
Our proposals have met with very positive responses and requests for our services. We ask that you pray with us, and financially support some of these programs if you are able. Thank you for your faithfulness. Also, please pray for these teens – they are not allowed any family visits. One of our goals is to keep them connected during this time.
VIRTUAL CHURCH
Weekly virtual meetings with incarcerated youth, led by local pastors. Worship music, message, interactive discussions
BIRTHDAY CLUB
Each month our volunteers bake cupcakes for the youth in facilities, to celebrate the youths having a birthday that month. Cards are personalized with a scripture.
COMIC BOOKS AND PIZZA NIGHT
On the 3rd Tuesday of each month, volunteers deliver pizza and Christian comic books (think “Moses,” “Jonah,” much like the old Dell Comic books format).
THANKSGIVING OUTREACH
This year our outreach includes turkeys and food boxes to the families of the youth we serve.
ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY
We are in the process of getting approval on how to deliver services at Christmas so the youth may experience Jesus.
